Anne Grete Preus in English
She tried, but it didn't really work out that well. How do you translate "det snør; himmelsk korrekturlakk over feilstavet sommer". Not the easiest part. Anyways, as you might have guessed, I went to a concert with Anne Grete Preus at the Norwegian Seamen's Church. Ingvild was my date, and we've been looking forward to this a long time. A concert in a church is one thing, Anne Grete Preus in a church is something special. Her voice is amazing, and her presence made a calm, good atmosphere, although she played what she called 'punk' songs.
Before the concert, we did some shopping (Christmas presents). Or, Ingvild did, I just followed. We walked Fifth Avenue, which really gives you a spirit of Christmas these days. Before we went to the church, although we knew we would get some waffles, we needed some dinner. Suprisingly we walked just past TAO and decided to give it a try. Once again, a really cool place were the Asian interior gives you the right feeling. The food wasn't too bad either, guess I'll have to take some of my visitors (if they come...?) to this place! Thanks for a nice day, Ingvild my dear :*
A huge Buddah in the middle of the restaurant. Really cool!
I have the day off today, which was good. I really needed to sleep out after some fun nights the past few days. As you might know, Thanksgiving is coming up (that's why I have the day off, the professors want an extra day of holiday)! I'm not really too excited, but it will be fun to see how Americans do this. Most likely I'll go with Katrine to her family in Jersey City tomorrow for a real Thanksgiving dinner. Now I'm off to the gym with Ann, so talk to you later.
By the way... it's quite boring to blog without any comments on my life and everything I write. I really appreciate those from my aunts, parents and cousins, but hey?! Where's my friends.. Just mentioning it! I'm soon home, guys, less than a month now :-)
